God & Country: The Rise of Christian Nationalism Review And Ratings

Inspired by Katherine Stewart’s book, The Power Worshippers, the God & Country documentary investigates the rise of Christian Nationalism and its connection with far-right politics in the U.S. It also aims to define the dangers this nationalism based on one faith poses to democracy.

I was particularly impressed by watching the influential Christian leaders’ voices in favor of the idea of the film. It not only advocates democracy but also prompts the viewers to consider what happens when a religion of love, forgiveness, and sacrifice intersects with money, politics, power, and hyper-nationalism.

My Review: Nationalism built on faith is not democratic at all. Yes, this is my honest thought after reviewing this documentary. If you are watching this documentary, my suggestion is to be more open-minded, or you will end up clashing thoughts with the director of the documentary.
